Bottles & Praying Mantis
Hubby brought home these bottles...I am excited to be painting them, along with the HUGE collection of sea shells I have. Just wanted you to know that I AM painting, I just don't have anything to post yet. :) This is a new creation my son made, called Mantis. His little arms are disposable razor blade handles. My son is so funny! I have been toying with the idea of painting him too. Let me know if it's something you'd like to see! I did paint his little lizard a while back:
For the first ten years of my son's life, he was always in trouble for taking perfectly functioning household items apart -into pieces- to build new things from his imagination... Yes, it took us about 10 years to persuade him to find broken items and use them instead. He saved his money and we let him loose at the junk shop to find any bits of magic he could find. That was about 5 years ago...we now have much less junk around the house and many, many more treasures. He created this little lizard from scraps of metal, a tube, spigot handle, computer parts.
It was just staring up at me so I painted it. I promised my son 50% of the proceeds. :)
