Italian Greyhound

I watched Scott Naismith on Youtube, he's a landscape painter with a bit of abstraction, my favorite kind of art.  And he kept saying, too much contrast is not natural.  This is a much more natural looking painting.  I toned down the color shifts and didn't use big pops of color.  I like it.  It was a change of pace but I really had to stop myself from putting in big yellows and oranges and blues...

So, I am trusting my Iphone 6 plus camera, looks like correct colors/likeness to the real painting.  Looks great on my laptop too.  I like this color combo, perhaps I will do another something in the same colors.

Bitten (PB&J #32 - Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich Painting)

This will be the last peanut butter and jelly sandwich for a while, there are limitless subjects left unexplored!

This is a 5"x5" acrylic on masonite.
SOLD

I have had a heck of a time trying to get colors to appear right online, bought a calibrator and tried many settings.  I am just using my Iphone 6 plus camera now.  Everyone who receives the painting they won or bought says it looks so much better than online.  So that will have to suffice.

Oh, and I'm trying out cradled birch wood panels...I bought a bunch shallow and deep profiles.  I'll keep you posted.

Midnight Snack (PB&J #31)

So here is #31 PB&J.  If it is very late and you are viewing this sandwich and it makes you hungry, (or even drool!), stay calm, you are probably just having a midnight snack attack.  Oh, others are having the same experience?   Well then, I call me lucky.  : )

So this troop of ceramic chickens goes from artist to artist around the globe to inspire creativity and an art piece everywhere they stop. This is the blog: http://travel-chicken.blogspot.com/   They came from Canada to me...and now on their way to their next adventure.

 It's acrylic on a 5"x5" masonite board.
